LOCATION: The airport is located 20km northeast of central Calgary. Here is a good aerial picture showing the approach road system and the proximity of the city.

INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: Information booths are located on the Departures level (tel: 403 735 1449) and Arrivals level (tel: 403 735 1372); in the summer months a tourism service is also available. Over 25 computer terminals, located throughout the airport, comprise an interactive visual information system providing e-mail, fax and Internet services, as well as direct telephone connections to hotels and transportation companies and some Calgary tourist attractions. Volunteers are available to assist travellers.

AIRPORT FACILITIES: Money and communications: The airport has ATMs, bureaux de change and mobile telephone rental offices, as well as a post office, and fax and photocopying facilities. Luggage: Baggage storage and free baggage trolleys are available at the airport. Other facilities: There is a children's play area, travel insurance service, massage and medical clinics, a chapel, a pet exercise area and smoking lounges. There is also a SpacePort (an educational entertainment centre) and a wellness spa.

DISABLED FACILITIES: There are lifts and ramps where necessary, and TTY telephones are provided for hearing-impaired travellers.

CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: Conference and business facilities are located at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel (tel: 403 291 2600 or 800 368 1133 toll free USA and Canada only) which is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway; facilities are also available in the Air Canada and Canadian First Class lounges.

CAR PARKING: Short- and long-term parking is available. Long-term parking is less than 1km (0.6 miles) away from the terminal; Park & Jet and Park 'n' Fly car parks are connected to the terminal by a shuttle bus service and Parkade (maximum one-day stay) is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: To get to the city centre from Airport Road NE, turn left onto Barlow Trail North, turn left on Airport Trail NE, and then left at the traffic lights. Merge onto Deerfoot Trail south, then exit onto 16th Avenue West (TransCanada Highway) and turn left onto Centre Street. Alternatively, drive south on the Barlow Trail to the Memorial Drive exit ramp (take Memorial Drive west). Then take the exit ramp of 4th Avenue.
